This Spring we participated in a fundraiser with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation. Children’s is ranked nationally in 10 pediatric specialties; they provide world class care in their 575-bed general facility. As a nonprofit, Children’s relies on generous financial support of the community which is why they annually host the University of Georgia v Georgia Institute of Technology Spring Baseball Classic with the support of Kauffman Tire. All proceeds from ticket sales go toward funding critical patient support and family initiatives. Contributions are often used to update equipment and programs that are critical to training the next generation of caregivers.
Property Masters worked diligently over the course of 8 weeks going door to door with our vendors and family to spread the word about our team. We collected donations & sponsorships, created in house competitions and sold raffle tickets for a chance to win a signed jersey by Braves Hall of Famer, John Smoltz. In the end, Children’s reached their goal of $220,000 and we surpassed our goal of $7,000, raising a total of $9,981. All of our staff and their families had a great time at the game where the Ramblin’ Wreck of GT edged out UGA with a 6-3 victory at Turner Field.
